Email this pageThe SEND Tribunal has an online portal designed to help parents and carers lodge an appeal themselves. Alternatively, you can print and complete a SEND35 appeal form and send in the post or by email marking ‘New Appeal’ (the address and email address will be on the form you complete).SENDIASS Tribunal Advice and Support.
We are offering free online tribunal workshops for parents/carers.
Part one -This workshop will be talking the reasons for making an appeal, the evidence you may need and how to submit your appeal via the First Tier SEND Tribunal online portal.
Part twoThis workshop will be taking you through the process after submitting and appeal to the SEND Tribunal.
Subject to our capacity, we may be able to offer support with your appeal. If you instruct legal representation we will step back from active involvement but will remain available for information and ongoing advice and support around related issues.

Appealing the contents of a final EHC plan or amended plan
If you disagree with the content of your child's EHC plan you can appeal to the SEND Tribunal
Appealing a School (or school type) named in a plan
If you are unhappy with the school or school type named in your child's final plan you can appeal to the SEND Tribunal

If you disagree with the local authority's decision to cease your child or young person's EHC plan you can appeal the SEND Tribunal

If you disagree with a local authority's decision following an annual review you can appeal to the SEND Tribunal
Appealing a Refusal to Issue an EHC Plan
If the local authority has refused to issue your child or young person with an EHC plan you can appeal to the SEND Tribunal
