This self-referral form is for parents/carers who would like support in lodging an appeal to the First Tier SEND Tribunal.
Our Tribunal Team are currently in high demand and for this reason, we will need to check capacity with the team before we confirm their availability to help you. It is important to note that the majority of parents do not have a representative at their appeals and the appeal process has been designed so that parents can lodge the appeal themselves. If we are unable to support with your appeal, please don’t worry, our helpline team will offer advice and guidance on what to do.
To complete this self-referral form, we will need information from you which will help us respond to you effectively. It will be helpful to have some relevant documents to hand, such as:
- The local authority decision letter (which outlines your right of appeal)
- Most recent final EHC plan (if your child or young person has an EHC plan)
- Most recent annual review paperwork (if a review of the EHC plan has taken place)
- Mediation Certificate (If you are not sure if you need to involve mediation and gain a certificate for your appeal, let us know on the form and we can talk this through with you.
