T-Levels are designed to help young people 16-19 years olds into employment, further study or a higher apprenticeship.

T stands for Technical and the course are industry placements, providing students with hands-on, real-world experience in their chosen field.

We will outline some key information on what to expect with a T-level course:-

  • They are two-year courses
  • They are equivalent to three A-levels
  • Your time will be split: 80% classroom learning; 20% industry placement
  • Placements are at least 315 hours (approximately 45 days)
  • As of Jan 2025, part of most T-level placements can be completed remotely (up to 20% for most; up to 50% for digital T-levels) and some workplace skills can be practised by doing simulated activities at school or college
