(FE colleges, independent schools, non-maintained special schools, schools registered under s.41 children & Families Act 2014)
- The law and guidance discussed in our exclusion section do not apply
- Exclusion will be determined according to the setting’s own behaviour policies – the setting should make these available to you
- It may also be covered in the terms of any contract with the setting – contract law
- Duties under Equality Act 2010 do apply – including the requirement to make reasonable adjustments to policies and/or the use of auxiliary aids for an individual pupil.
